What to Expect

When you book a photography session with me

What are sessions like?

My goal is always to tell a story.

Whether we’re shooting family portraits, a surprise engagement, baby announcement, or a celebration of life, there’s a story worth years of unconditional love that I have upwards of just 1.5 hours to capture.

That’s my challenge; yours is just to have fun.

Good story-telling photography comes from unplanned moments, glances, and surprise emotional reactions; it comes from the raw and the real.

So, you can expect to be given movements or prompts instead of poses.

What is our booking process like?

For all non-event sessions, you can book online here, OR use the form below. You can also call/ text Lee directly at (203)927-7969.

The non-refundable deposit and a signed contract and print release are both due at booking.

There is a short questionnaire that goes with each session so I can get to know you and what you’re looking for a little more.

Each session includes an optional 30-minute pre-session that can be done over the phone, over Zoom, or in person.

Other:

For weddings or any other events, please contact Lee directly or by phone. The process is a bit different!

If you are a business in need of a photographer for your event, marketing tools, or website, please email loveleepaws@gmail.com.

How long will it take to get my photos?

Our turn-around for photo galleries, depending on the nature of your session, is currently 1-2 weeks.

You will receive your gallery via email with your own unique PIN for downloading and sharing with friends and family as well as social media.

Please read our Copyright Statement here.

Do you edit out leashes?

We can, usually, edit out leashes in your photos. However, in some scenarios or poses it may be impossible to do so. I always keep leash-editing in mind and work our session accordingly. For the best possible outcome, please use neutral-colored and/or thin leashes if at all possible.

Note: Most harnesses will not be edited out.

If you’re curious about your specific pup’s setup, shoot me a message! A photo would be helpful for me to give some feedback also.

Do you use a studio, or are all sessions outdoors?

There are a few options depending on your desires for your photos:

  1. An agreed-upon outdoor location
  2. At your home (this is most popular for celebration of life or for specific baby sessions)
  3. A local studio (we like Gentlebull Studios in Hartford. They are pet-friendly.)

Ready? Let's tell your story.
