Hi, I'm Lee

I’m the owner and lead pet photographer of Lovelee Paws Photography located in Cheshire, Connecticut.

I started photographing pets and their people in 2017 while working in pet care. Now, I travel all over New England to capture both candid and posed moments to create authentic, beautiful portraits with pets and their people.

As a natural story-teller, I love to work with clients and their pets to create real moments, capturing the relationships and love that come with it.

I can’t wait to create beautiful memories with you and your family, paws included.

Love,

Lee

how it works:

I’ve spent countless hours working to streamline my booking process to make it quick and easy! Basically: we talk, we book, we shoot, and I’m there for you every step of the way. Once we book, I am your resource for planning, styling, and navigating your session.

1. Let's Talk: Schedule Your Consult

15-minute remote consultations are free! Simply choose your date and time, and I'll call you then. We will go over all the questions, details, and desires you have for your session. If you don't see a time that fits your schedule, please reach out to me at Lee@loveleepaws.com.

2. Let's Shoot

I make Lovelee Paws sessions tailored and personalized to fit your photo goals. They're much less posed and more activity and prompt-based, but a mix of both. I want to capture honest, emotional, and candid moments of you with your family and pets as well as carefully composed shots. Your gallery will be versatile and authentic.

3. Your Finished Products

You'll receive your own personalized and private gallery typically within 2-3 weeks. Your photos are yours to download and share. I've also partnered with a professional, high-quality photo lab to help you decorate your home with beautiful pieces of art from our shoot.

Leash Editing

Most public spaces in CT have on-leash laws for dogs, and I abide by those laws. I take the time to edit out leashes in my editing process, which leaves everyone worry-free about both being in the moment and in the final products.

"My shoot with Lisa was nothing short of an amazing experience. Lisa is the sweetest person, and the pictures turned out incredible! My dog is a senior, and also deaf so she can be a little tricky at times, but Lisa was able to capture our relationship beautifully. She was so patient and easy to work with, I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to do pictures with their pup!"
-Julie
Lisa is a wonderful individual, pet lover, and photographer! She has cared for our pup from doggie day care to taking snapshots of his crazy self! We loved that Oakley cried and whimpered from not seeing her for some time and she laughed along the way with his hyper puppy self. We were able to have fun and enjoy the moments of taking photos of just our pup and as a family! Thanks Lisa for being simply charming and such a fun person and photographer!

My dog Fiona and I did a fall mini session with Lovelee Paws a couple weeks ago, and I could not be more happy with how they came out! Fiona gets easily distracted by other dogs and people so I wasn’t sure how the shoot would go, but Lee was fantastic and got some really great shots! She travels all over CT and I found the pricing for the mini session to be very reasonable. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to get some professional photos taken with your pup!
-Nikki
Lee was absolutely amazing. Our girl cannot sit still to save her life and doesn’t really comprehend the “stay” command. She also refuses to sit if she’s distracted, but Lee was so patient and did what worked best for us. She let Mel get her zoomies out and play a little bit, which was really nice. Neither my boyfriend nor I enjoy having our picture taken, but she made is feel so comfortable. I’m so obsessed with all the pictures!

Frequently Asked Questions

Dogs that don’t sit still deserve to be in the photos, too! Not every pet will sit and pose for their photos, and that’s okay. Our sessions tend to be dog-lead, meaning we will “go with the flow” of the day and follow their needs and lead to make sure they don’t get too stressed and that it’s an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Yes. Each portrait session has a set amount of digital files included.

Bring anything you think will help your pet, such as favorite treats or toys. Feel free to also bring a blanket or mat you like to sit on if we’ll be spending time outdoors. Weather-depending, also bring layers you can easily change out of.

We will keep watch of the forecast following up to our session, and if we decide the weather is going to be a real problem, we can either reschedule for a different date or move to an indoor location.

Our studio is located in Cheshire, CT. We also may rent out studio space in Hartford, CT depending on client desires and needs.

Yes. I have over 10 years of experience working with animals, and this includes dogs with various behavioral issues. I have great knowledge of body language and behavior and am willing to work with many personalities and quirks. Please let me know ahead of time so I can accommodate.

I send a Style Guide during the planning process to help coordinate everyone in your party. That said, colors that work best with my style are browns, beiges, darker/ matte/ flat colors like burgundys and forest greens.
